Run-in with corded wire fencing. Digital extensor tendon and artery severed. August 18, 2007.
Several days on, proud flesh is beginning to develop already.
Every morning, more blood and pus.
Twice daily cleansing and bandaging ritual for three months.
I given an A+ on bandaging by the Grande Dame, Doris Ward. :)
Down to just a bit of pus and blood at this point
One spot just won't heal. It needs sequestrum surgery. There's a bone infection
Proud flesh -- Keith had to stop in several times to cut the flesh away. It had to stay bandaged, which promoted the growth of the proud flesh. Seemed an uphill battle.
Necrotizing flesh below the wound. It eventually sloughed off. Wire scars run criss-cross around the back of the leg.
